According to MTV, my life is weird enough to be a reality show! I was flipping channels last night, and MTV was showing a program called "Engaged and Underage." I paused for a minute to find out why dumb high school kids would want to get married. Instead, they were profiling a couple aged 20 and 21. Ummm, Dan and I were 20 when we got engaged (okay, so Dan was a few days shy of 21). I know that it is very strange in this day and age to get married right out of college like we did, but we're reality-show weird now? ;)

how long were you guys engaged? what i find even more silly is that who Cares about people that age getting married, they should talk about all of the seriously underaged Mothers there are and how ruined their lives are. the other day a Grandmother came, she looked younger than me and had her 14yr old daughter in tow with her brand new baby. i was SO freaked out, and the 'woman' was just so proud of her daughter.

So, let's see, we got engaged April of our junior year, and got married December after we graduated. So that would be a little over a year and a half.

Honestly, of a lot of weddings I've been to, yours worked out really well and was really fun.(and the food was excellent!) Probably the wierdest thing at your wedding, was the friend I came with and what he kept saying to me (and if he is reading this, he knows I don't mean to be mean, he just can't help being crazy . .... sometimes . . ...).

Of course, I also went to a Christian college where a section of the yearbook every year was devoted to all the weddings. Married students were very, very common.
I don't recommend it for most people, but if you have a good head on your shoulders and your relationship isn't super-high-maintenance, it can work just fine. Marriage was (and is) easy for us. Our life would make one boring reality show!
