Well, Pride is over for another year, and as usual I had a very busy weekend, and I'm quite beat. But happy. :)

In amusing news, I had on a Rosie the Riveter temporary tattoo (on my bicep, natch). I didn't want to put on sunscreen there because I was afraid the tatto would come off. I gave Rosie a sunburn on her arms! :)

Dan and I went to an Erev Pride Liberation Seder on Friday night. Since we knew the person organizing it, we were told (not asked) that we were going to split a passage from Song of Songs at the end. Several people told me afterwards that the liked the reading that I did with my "friend."

Of course, other people just came right out and asked us. At a picnic on Sunday, one woman was really surprised when I introduced her to my husband. She said, "Keshet is a gay organization right?" Seems no one recognizes the bi pride rings anymore. We had people ask us about how we deal with being bi and married. Also, one person came up to us on Saturday in the Commons wanting to know about our faith versus our sexuality because he saw the rainbow gear and Dan's kippah. Usually we don't get questioned so much. It was interesting. But I would really rather people ask than not.

During the parade on Sat. Eric pulled us in to march with Am Tikva's float for a while. We did, and then we got back out to watch the rest of the parade. We had people from several organizations ask us to march. One girl told us that next year we should carry signs saying "We Like to Watch." Maybe we will.

A good Pride all in all. Less corporate, more fun. Watch for us in this week's Bay Windows. (Though the likelihood that they would publish pictures of a married bisexual couple is slim. They took the pictures though, and asked us our names. So we'll see.)
