I've been meaning to post about this for a month or two now...

Has anyone else noticed this particular trend? Lately I've been seeing 20-30-something women carrying around small Victoria's Secret bags instead of purses. It got really weird/creepy the other day when I saw an older woman carrying a shopping bag sized one with some flowers and groceries.

What is the thought here? Is it supposed to make guys hit on you or something? Are you supposed to be advertising that you are so comfortable in your sexuality that you keep your life in a sexualized bag?

Clearly I don't get it.

You mean like paper shopping bags instead of purses? Um, ew.

Anyway I thought the way to advertise comfort with one's sexuality was with low-rise jeans, a jewel-trimmed and visible thong, and a lower back tattoo. :D Once again, I am behind the times.

It's those pinky stripy shiny paper shopping bags that they have. (They look like shoping bag versions of these boxes (http://www2.victoriassecret.com/html/custsrvc/giftservices/#gift_wrap).) I've seen about twenty different women carrying them over the last two or three months.

Yes, I know the ones. It beats me why they're doing it, though. I mean, think of how inconvenient that must be. You can't close it, and it's paper so it'll fall apart soon enough. Unless you're on the money with the cachet of carrying a VS bag, there's no explanation I can figure out.

By the way, I love your icon with the big silver bow in your hair. It makes me smile.

Yeah, that's one of my favorites. When I made the red one, my friends said it looked like me, but didn't have the bow. ;)
