Rockstar Karaoke

Went to the JP World's Fair yesterday. Ran into many many librarians. huh, go figure...

The funniest thing I saw was during Rockstar Karaoke. Now, this has funny potential all on its own. People singing karaoke with a live band backing them. Usually, it is done in a bar with lots of alcohol and is a 21+ event. Yesterday on an open street.

So, normally you would never see two little boys under the age of six (one with fill pirate face paint, eyepatch and beard) dancing around frantically to "Welcome to the Jungle" and "Kung-Fu Fighting."

Just picture it.

And now the post that will make everyone not want to come near my neighborhood...

So, Dan got home today about 6pm, and took a nap. I got home around 7pm, and noticed that the back wheel of his bike was not precisely on his bike. In fact it was no where to be seen, and the bike looked a tad broken, shall we say.

And we have one of the most high-traffic porches around. It was still light out.

Sigh.
